Green New Deal Funding: Remember Finance is a Public-Private Franchise, Not a Big Broker in the Sky

As we think about financing the Green New Deal, we'll do well to remember that our financial system is a massive public-private franchise arrangement with the sovereign citizenry and our monetized full faith and credit at its core, not a big private broker in the sky.
